At the age of 5 Escudo became Hanoverian jumping champion and became vice federal champion. He has produced internationally successful jumpers like Enorm (Ludger Beerbaum), Escobar (Thomas Weinberg) and El Paso (Jessico Kurten, Markus Beerbaum). For a number of years Escudo I has been one of the most prolific producers of jumping horses in Germany and holds an index of 151.
Some 306 Escudo I daughters have been graded in the Hanoverian breed and 83 have been granted state premium status. 89 foals and 67 riding horses have been sold through the auctions in Verden and 25 sons of his have been licensed; 15 of these are approved in the Hanoverian studbook. Escudo’s sons Earl and El Bundy have won their stallion licensing performance test just like their sire. His son Embassy is one of the most sought-after jumping sires in the Hanoverian breed.
On the Dam side, Anna Marie is by Anforan xx, Spruce Meadows’s long standing TB Stallion approved Hanoverian . He competed successfully in the HUNTER div, winning championships in confirmation and working hunter classes. Anna Marie’s Dam, Wynesta, was sired by WENDEKREIS. Wendekreis had the biggest influence, producing many stallions. Conformation-wise, his offspring are very correct, Among his stallion sons some tend to the dressage direction like Wendelin and Wenderberg while others arc more versatile. This indicates the mother’s influence. Wendekreis is regarded as one of the most influential stallions of the past few decades and is well known as a producer of riding horses with excellent trainability.
