Bella du Rouet RGS’s Sire, Balou du Rouet,pleased the crowds at all is appearances! His gaits are equipped with maximum elasticity and completing an excellent Stallion Performance Test, he was awarded top marks for jumping, 9.5 and 10.0 by the ‘foreign judges’. He promptly won his first jumping competition with ease. His impressive rideability is of great importance for his future development in his sporting and breeding career. Sire Baloubet du Rouet, at the moment one of the most successful jumping stallions on the international stage (three-times World Cup Champion in a row, winner of many Grand Prix’s, recent winner of the Top-Ten-Finals in Geneva), has an exceptional pedigree. Grandsire Galoubet is son of the great stallion Almé. On the dam’s side, through Rantzau, he is directly related to the founder of the bloodline ”Cor de la Bryere” from Holstein, the likeness can be seen in Balou du Rouet’s jumping style and ability. His stunning dam, Georgia is by the increasingly popular Contender son, Continue. He emphasises his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement with numerous foals,which he has passed on to Bella Du Rouet RGS.
Bella Du Rouet RGS (Lika)’s Dam
Elite Mare Arabella RGS, recipient of American Hanoverian Society MPT Benchmark High Score Jumping Award, was bred by the #1 breeder of Hanoverian jumpers in Germany, Dr. Jacobs. She was at Spruce Meadows, where she excelled in her carrier as a Jumper, and she successfully competed up to 1.20 meter with young teenagers.
Grand Dam, Watina by Wendelin – Marconi – Cid is in Germany at the Jacobs. She is also in the Hanoverian Jumping Breeding Program (PHS); dam of the international dressage horse, Laurenzia by Loredo, the show jumper Lucy Lu by Laptop; grand dam of the licensed stallions Esculturo PJ by Escudo I and Savioure by Esbjerg (USA); 5 offsprings admitted to the Hanoverian Jumping Breeding Program (PHS) with a jumping score of 9.0 or more at the mare performance test.
Arabella’s sire, Acord II easily won his performance test in 1991, scoring 9.5 to 10 for showjumping, and 9 to 9.67 for rideability. His overall score was 146.04 scoring 138.26 in dressage and 148.47 in jumping.
He went on to the 1992 Bundeschampionate in Verden where he was reserve champion behind Franke Sloothaak and the Caletto I son, Calero.
Acord II has produced more than 40 stallion sons, one of the more famous is Broere VDL Atlantic, who was the Six Year Old Jumping Champion at the 1999 Bundeschampionate with Ulrich Kirchhoff. Another stallion son to shine with Kirchhoff is Action Hero – like Atlantic, he is based in Holland. In Germany his stallion sons are Acorado, Antaeus, Alboretto, Ars Vivendi, All in One and As di Villagana.
As of 2003, Acord II has produced 60 dressage competitors and 404 jumpers (52 to advanced level) for winnings of Euro 736,475.
Acord II’s entry in the Hanoverian Studbook includes the comment: “His first foals are impressive with a strong, correct conformation and above average floating movements.”
