Empress foals first 2015

Early this Friday morning, Empress RGS (Escudo I / Anforan XX) brought a bouncing baby boy into the world. The Amaretto D’Arco colt, flashy with two hind socks and a massive perfect star, is happy and healthy- making momma a very happy mare. Though he’s only been around just a few short hours thus far, the Page Brook team is so excited to see how this guy unfolds. The popular thoroughbred blood from Anforan XX paired with daddy’s good looks and clean knees is unstoppable as is- however, paired with Escudo I’s sheer athleticism, baby boy (name pending) is likely to grow

Mack becomes a big boy!

Macauley RGS has finally been backed! He isn’t exactly packing up for the puddle jumpers at HITS this summer, but he sure is one step closer to becoming the amazing sport horse we are all sure he will develop into. After proving to be a gentleman and willing to learn with all of the work beforehand, the girls decided it was time to jump on! He reacted like he has to everything else we’ve thrown his way: perfectly! Thank goodness for his “big brother” Lamar who secretly whispered encouragement throughout the entire new experience. What great little men! So proud. Keep

Conte Della Caccia filly – Nacaccia Star

Foaled 5/13/13 at 11:18. Around 11:00 pm my dogs started barking so I went downstairs to see what was going on … and there was Stephanie … She was doing the foal watch until midnight… we both rechecked on the computer screen and confirmed that Dora was in labor! Watched her deliver the filly.  It is such a miracle! I do not care how many times one has witnessed a birth, each time it is a new experience. Now almost three months old and doing really well, Nacaccia Star RGS “Frenchie” has her own agenda! She excellent conformation, springy walk,

Mare Owner’s Series . . . at Page Brook Farms 4/10 – 4/15

Almost three years ago Terry had gone to AZ to take an Ultra sound course with Jim Kubiak of Breeder’s Assistant.  He came back with enthusiasm and hope that we, at Page Brook Farms, will be able to host one of the seminars, and we did. We, Terry and I, feel that we do need to work with our Veterinarian, Dr. Jeff LaPoint and Dr. Megan Cox, the most considerate compassionate people. The Mare Owner’s Series gave us a helping hand needed to work with our Veterinarians.  Jim Kubiak explained and taught us the basics of breeding and managing the

Just a quick note thanking you again for selling us the most amazing pony. We adore Kalli, and she takes wonderful care of Rachel.  She’s the perfect combo of sweet, a great mover, LOVES to jump and can have some spunk in her, but always honest.  This past weekend Rachel took her to her first “real”  hunter show at Fieldstone and came home with a handful of ribbons.  She is a VERY well loved pony, and deserves every hug. Ahh, the joys of grooming foals . . .

This being my first article for Page Brook Farms, I figured I would write about the constant reoccerence of my grooming the foals. This is one of the most mundane and yet  important things one must do in order to get a foal to slowly mold into a sport horse any rider would want to work with; seeing as ground manners make for both an easy and safe horse. The work is slow; it is boring; there is no excitement; and it is boring. As much as I may find myself thinking about the million other things is the world

Praise for Esccord RGS, a Page Brook Farms Hanoverian

Good morning Terry and Jayshree Schrubb, I wanted to thank Page Brook Farms for breeding Garth and giving me the opportunity to partner [purchase] with him. In our last two rides, I have been utterly amazed by him. Our first ride over a jumping course, he was smart, keen, and honest. He was cognizant of where he was in relation to the fences and distances despite the varying terrain and distracting stimuli outside the jumping field. Yesterday’s ride was even more fun – we did some conditioning sets in an open field. He was eating up the ground with such
